About the Presentation:
A talk on 'Custom' WordPress wouldn't be complete without Custom Post Types so we'll start with some of the many use cases as well as when to not use them. Have you ever thought about Custom Post Formats? Me neither, until the editorial team at a dating startup asked for what would be a perfect application of Post Formats (if they were customizable), and it was nothing like Tumblr! Custom Fields: Of course, and with so many plugins available, that choice alone can be a dizzying experience. Each have pros and cons, as does coding it yourself. With the Fields API project getting off the ground, we may have one to rule them all.
